Does refinancing make sense for you right now?

Some weeks I get a lot of questions about whether it's time to refinance. I'd like to help you think clearly about the real costs and benefits so you can make the right call for your situation.

Smart Refinancing

When refinancing actually makes sense

Refinancing isn't always the right move, even when rates look attractive. The real math depends on how long you plan to stay in your home, your current loan terms, and what you'd pay in closing costs to make the switch. Some people break even in months; others take years. That's why it's worth doing the real numbers before you decide. I can walk you through the specifics of your situation—no obligation—and show you whether refinancing would actually put you ahead or just cost you money. If you've been wondering whether now is your moment, let's talk it through together.

Reach out anytime if you'd like me to run the numbers on your loan.

Tip of the Week

If your credit score is below 740, even small improvements before applying for a mortgage can save you thousands over the life of the loan.

Tips for Homeowners

Weatherproofing Your Home Before Winter

1.

Clean your chimney if you have a fireplace. The National Fire Protection Association recommends annual inspection and cleaning to prevent chimney fires.

2.

Check attic insulation and ventilation before winter. Inadequate insulation leads to heat loss, higher energy bills, and ice dams on the roof that can cause significant damage.

3.

Inspect weatherstripping on all exterior doors. A simple dollar-bill test works: close the door on a bill — if you can pull it out easily, your weatherstripping needs replacing.
